In order to give you perspective of how we got to where we are, I need to go back a few years to 1984. I was involved in Solo 1 with SCCA in my 84 VW Gti, VWs hot rod at the time. A local shop known for its Datsun racing experience FAR, was not too far from my home so I decided to pay them a visit to see if they were willing to help me with the development of the Gti.  Not only were they interested, but already new car the as the shop I has been going to was sending it to them for much of the work... (in the same complex)   An instant friendship happened upon meeting Ed. Ed ran the parts and was the key to the VW development and as it turns out, 2 years of sponsorship. 

We did well with one of the only Gti's at the time, winning the SLUSH series in 85 and awarded the Rookie of the Year trophy for the San Francisco Region.   Lots of standing, not enough driving took me to a track day at Sears Point with local club called the Capri Club. (now called NASA) One lap around the track with my instructor and I was hooked...  The next day I called Ed to see if we could install a roll cage as I wanted to go road racing....
